On-site at the Centre

Handling – some cats may be nervous and we have re-homed many so called ‘feral cats’ due to people spending vital quality time with them.

Cleaning – the cats and rabbits are cleaned on a daily basis.

DIY/General Maintenance – we are set in four and a half acres so general maintenance is always required.

Sorting – lots of goods come in and need to be sorted ready to be sold at our Charity Shop, our Open Day in August or our Christmas Fayre.

Administrator – Typing, answering the telephone, greeting arrivals and filing.

Away from the Centre

Home visitors (post and pre-home) – before and after people adopt and animal from us they must undergo a post and pre-home visit. Car drivers only please.

Fund Raising – Car boot sales, store collections, table top sales, or arrange a garden party, all which bring in vital funds for the Rescue Centre.

Charity Shop in East Wittering – Serving customers, re-stocking shelves and sorting jumble.

Game Checking – we get lots of children’s games i.e. Monopoly which need checking to see if all the bits are there.

Towel Cutting – we recycle any old towels that get given to us and use them to clean out the cats. They need cutting into flannel size pieces.

Knitting from Home – We always need mice bodies knitted, then we stuff them with catnip and sell them in our shop – the cats go mad for them!!! (Pattern available - please click here to download).

Cake Bakers – needed for our Fayres we sell these on our Home Produce stall or in our Furry Friends’ Cafe

Full training will be given to all volunteers
