Becoming a volunteer is very rewarding and helps us to rescue and rehome cats, rabbits and guinea pigs that need our help.
Below are our current volunteering opportunities.

You will receive a email validation request and then a welcome email from us requesting you to update your volunteer profile with your volunteering preferences.

  • Reception and Admin

    Friendly, welcoming volunteers required to man our Reception and help with Centre admin. You should have good IT skills for completing admin tasks such as data entry, letter writing and using spreadsheets.

  • FUNDRAISING – HELPING AT LOCAL EVENTS

    We are looking for volunteers who are able to help with fundraising by manning a stall at local events, or holding a tin at street/store collections

  • MOUSE KNITTERS

    We need people to create knitted mice as toys for our cats and for us to sell in local vets as well as at events.

    Please see the patterns below if you would like to give it a go. We can supply most of the materials from the centre if you can collect.

  • SLUICE WORKER

    We are looking to recruit volunteers to support our team to provide assistance within our sluice area ensuring all of our cats litter trays are cleaned to a high standard and redistributed to designated areas.

  • SORTING/SERVING AT CRRC CHARITY SHOPS

    We are looking for volunteers who are able to sort and/or serve at one of our 3 charity shops, especially one of our two shops in East Wittering and particularly at weekends. If you are interested you are welcome to pop into one of the shops or apply by filling in the form below.

  • TOWEL/BLANKET CUTTERS

    We are looking for volunteers who are able to cut towels into flannel size pieces (used for cleaning out the animals) or blankets into pillow case size (used to keep the animals warm after their ops). This role can either be carried out from home or at the Centre. Drop off points available.
